First of all, as you may (or may not) have noticed, I’ve got a shiny new domain name! Words-unspoken.net - go here to see why. All thanks to my Matt, who is the greatest guy ever. To celebrate it, I’ve also made a layout! The theme is based on the theme “Red is Nice” which I got from here. But I got a picture that I thought fit, and made a layout from there. Hope you like it! (And hope to see some comments about it, as I haven’t had the guts/courage to make my own layouts lately. The inspiration just hasn’t been there!)

As everyone knows, Super Bowl XL was here in Detroit this past Sunday. Of course, Detroit barely escaped the huge snowstorm that those of us got up here where I live. Click here for before & after pictures to see what I mean! We managed to lose power a few times on Saturday night, and we didn’t have phone or internet until yesterday. But it’s back, and working, so my life is back to usual.

Our poor kitten has a cut on his paw. It breaks my heart to see him limping around. I know it’s silly, but I feel so bad for him. He really looks like he’s in pain, and he seems to trust me to make it all better. He actually came up to me yesterday and put his paw on my hand. I didn’t know why until he set it back down and there was blood on my hand. I thought at first that he snagged his nail on something, but I saw a little cut in the pad on his foot. It will heal, but it may take a while, since cat’s foot pads are mostly just dead skin, so it has to grow out from deep inside the paw to heal. But I’ve noticed an improvement in his walking just since yesterday. He doesn’t seem to be holding it up as often, either.

Still haven’t heard back from either interview. I hope I get the leasing consultant one. Either way, I need a job quick so I can get out of here and start the immigration process. We’re trying for a summer wedding, so we’re rushing!

I’m kind of excited, in a superficial way, because I’ll be getting a new ring. He may be buying it there and bringing it to me, or else buying it online and shipping it to me (although I wouldn’t open it until he was here) when I get an apartment. I’m just glad we’ll be replacing the one I’m wearing. I had to settle for it, it wasn’t really the one I wanted, but I didn’t have much of a choice. So now I get to help pick, and then be surprised when he makes the final decision. Here’s a picture of one that I liked that we made on Novori.com:

Anyway, enough babbling for now. I may be upgrading wordpress later, but I may not. I’ll probably download some more plugins though, and try them out. Also, I’ve got a guestblock that I’m working on integrating into my wordpress. In the meantime, leave me some guestblocks!
