Spring’s Coming!

It’s getting here, slowly. All I know is that last night, as I was coming home from Val’s house, the sky was quite a bit brighter still than before. I could still see into the fields and stuff at 10:00. That’s quite an achievement when you live in the sticks.

Oh, and it’s a good thing I could see, too. Otherwise I would have hit the NINE deer that decided to cross the road out in front of me. Or else I would have gotten in an accident trying to avoid them on the icy road.

In other news, I got a pair of pants yesterday. Well, ok. I got a shirt I liked because it was on clearance (only $5.85!) but it was brown. I don’t have any khakis that fit me, so a brown shirt would be useless. I found a cute pair of khaki pants on the shelf, but the size was (seemingly) too small for me. I decided that since they were clearanced for only $10.00, that I would just buy them and make them “goal pants” - you know, the kind of pants you look at to motivate you to stick to your diet. Well when I got to Val’s, I decided to try them on to see how far I had to go. And they FIT! Not well, mind you, but they were on and I could walk in them and zip them up. Which means that even though I’m not totally noticing the results, my diet is working on some level.

Now, off to try my new Tae-Bo DVD!
