I'm Angela. I'm 23 years old, living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was born and raised in Michigan and moved out here two years ago. I'm a housewife, married to the most wonderful man in the world. I volunteer with a literacy foundation and love tutoring people. I'm incredibly shy but I'm quite friendly when given the chance!

Yeah, I got bored.

Memes, quizzes, etc. after the cut :)

Saturday 8
1. firstly … if you think about it, this holiday can be a huge to-do (not to mention painful for many). really, do you even enjoy thanksgiving? be bruisingly honest. I’m not the biggest fan, but turkey is yummy!

2. where will you spend thankgiving this year, and with whom? Spent it with Matt’s family. Canadian Thanksgiving comes before Halloween :)

3. do you generally cook thankgiving dinner at your place, or do you just bring a side or dessert to someone else’s home? :chef I usually go to someone else’s home, but I wish I could cook the dinner. I <3 to cook!

4. the serving of the dinner has been a source of contention in my home for many, many years. most thanksgivings have been spent with older grandparents, who would be happy for an 11am dinner. my parents prefer noon, i prefer a 2pm dinner, and my husband prefers 4-6pm at the earliest. what time do you prefer to eat thanksgiving dinner, and is that actually the time you eat it? I like around 6 pm. Maybe 7. I like to eat late!

5. i have a no-fail recipe for turkey, and i also have this awesome corn souffle that i make every year and people rave over. do you have a sure-fire dish/recipe that people ask for or love every year? Nope! :no

6. one year, i ate too much sweet potato pie and got sick on it. consquently, i cannot eat sweet potatoes (or even look at them, really). i also hate ‘real’ cranberries and need to eat the canned jelly stuff. is there a traditional thankgiving dish that you can’t stand? Stuffing.

7. congratulations - you have a fully-catered thanksgiving dinner for 9, a 12-course meal, completely paid for, and for as long as you wanted it to be. who are your eight guests to this fantasy thanksgiving dinner? (they can be living or dead) Matt and I’m not sure who else… I’m taking suggestions!

8. and the BIG question … are you going to brave the crowds and go shopping the day after thanksgiving?Sure. Why not?! I’ve worked through it, so it can’t be half as bad to shop it!
