Happy Turkey Day!

:turkey Happy Thanksgiving to those of you back in the States! I am obviously not celebrating it, as Canadian Thanksgiving was before Halloween, but I’m celebrating with you in spirit.

Matt was home sick today (poor thing!), so we stayed in bed all day. We watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, then the National Dog Show and now we’re watching Miracle on 34th Street (the original one!).

Regardless of when the holiday season “begins” here in Canada, I now officially feel like the holidays have started. Maybe it’s my American nature, but I half feel like I should go shopping tomorrow! And of course, I wish now that I had some turkey, mashed potatoes, buttered rolls, and of course candied yams! I wonder what the stores will be like tomorrow around here. Probably not busy like Black Friday back in the States.

Comment and tell me about your Thanksgiving! I want to hear ALL about it!

Oh, and a small sidenote: I’m pretty sure our “little girl” kitten is, in fact, a “little boy” due to some possible recent discoveries… I guess we’ll just have to wait and see! :)
