I got an email today saying that my World of Warcraft account had been reported for vulgar language and that I had been issued a warning. The weird thing is that I deleted the character two days ago that it was supposedly “said” on, and I have no characters on that server anymore. Not to mention the fact that I wouldn’t say the type of thing that was supposedly said, and I only talked to one person in the entire time I was on that server, over three months ago.
I changed my account password, from my other computer, ran a virus and spyware scan on this computer and everything came up clean. That character was deleted two days ago and the report said that it was said this morning, while I was still sleeping.
I would have thought the email was fake, except they had my first name and my account name right, so I don’t even know what to think anymore.
I’m afraid there’s something crazy going on and that my account will be suspended or something, when I’ve done nothing wrong.

Hmm, that’s really weird. I wonder how that could have happened. Unless maybe someone made a character with the same name and the devs thought it was still on your account. I don’t think that could actually happen, but really that’s the only thing I could think of.
Hopefully it won’t go too far. Maybe it’ll just be a warning or something. Definitely a good idea to change your password and run the virus check.

Yikes, hopefully no one hacked into your account and did anything bad with it. Changing passwords should help.

I think that maybe it was someone with a similar name, or else they made the character and deleted it very quickly. Nothing happened to my account, and the email said it was just a warning, so I think I’ll be good to go.

Ang. Now have you been going to any sites that your not surpose too? (is this the right form of too btw).
haha. jk. anyway. I had a similar situation a long time ago. Kinda wierd because, it was on a server that I have never had a char on. Yet somehow I spammed General chat with Racial Slurs.
