Weekend Wrap-UpOctober 5th, 2008 @ 2:00 am
Last week’s Weekend Wrap-Up was health and fitness links. The response I got to those was great, and I’m glad I could post some links to help others! This week, I’m focusing on design. Web design and graphic design are featured in these five links.
- 13 Sources for Background Patterns and Textures - I often find myself trying to figure out what to do with the background of a site I’m working on, or a layout for this blog, or even for other images. This list is very handy when it comes down to it. I just go to one of the sites listed and I’m bound to find something!
- 15 Amazing Photoshop Text Effects - I remember looking for photoshop tutorials when I was first learning to play around in photoshop. I’d try each tutorial, just so I knew how to do what it was they were doing. This would be handy for that! It’d also help if you wanted to add a special “something” to text on an image, but didn’t know quite what to add.
- 50 Excellent Body Enhancement Photoshop Tutorials - This one is handy if you’re editing portraits of yourself or others. When I upload photos of myself, I tend to leave them natural, unless there’s something horrible going on that I need to fix, but it’s fun to play around and see different things, like what I’d look like with a different eye colour!
- 20 Websites to Help You Learn and Master CSS - One of the things on my 101 things list is to learn (/re-learn) CSS. There’s so many tricks and ideas to working with it that I feel like I could never learn it all! This is a great place to start, though.
- 15 Sites That Will Inspire You to Become a Better Web Designer - Are you in a design slump lately? Is your site looking a bit tired? Visit some of these, and I bet your designs will perk up in no time!
