I'm Ang.

I'm a 23-year-old married woman who followed her heart (and her husband!) to Nova Scotia, where I'm currently a housewife, planning my future. I'm a huge computer nerd, especially when it comes to video games. I'm a fan of lists and spend a lot of time making them, even if they have no purpose at all. Want to know more?

Randomness on a Hot Day.

A while back (more than a year ago!) I asked a simple question: Am I too short? Today, that question, I think, has been answered. So, here’s my story.

Matt and I were going to do laundry, when we discovered a disappointing lack of laundry soap. We drove over to the drugstore in the mall next to our apartment, got our stuff, and went up to the counter to pay. A little girl walks up to pay with her… mother, I guess? Anyway, she’s got one of those cute little Webkinz. It was this adorable little panda, in case you’re interested. So I turn to her, and say “Oh, that’s so cute!” and she starts talking about it. Telling me how you have to go on the internet to be the owner of it, and how you can buy beds and stuff (there are HUNDREDS of beds, she was quick to tell me!) and generally being chatty. Then she (in typical little-kid fashion) asks me “How old are you?” I say “I’m 22, how old are you?” “Six.” Then she drops the bomb…

“I didn’t know you only get that tall when you’re 18! Girls stop growing when they’re 18.”

…I’ve been defined as short. By a six-year-old.

In other news, my Karazhan raiding team had a first last night! Netherspite is no more! (Until the instance reset, anyway.)

Click on the picture for a larger size, if you’re interested. I’m the fabulous Wicked Witch toward the middle, of course.

Drunken Raiders down Netherspite!

Day 25.

I’m getting very excited to see Matt again. I thought about going out to the grocery store tonight, and I might still, but I don’t think I will. Maybe tomorrow. It means getting gas, like I said, so that’s fairly unappealing to me. But I’ll have to do it anyway, so… I don’t know.

I’m trying a new diet. Mainly it’s just eating healthier foods and doing more exercise, but I’m using SparkPeople to keep track of everything. I’m also going to try following their meal plans. Matt has said that he’ll try to follow it with me, so that I have some support. It also means he gets three “real” meals a day, so that’s a big bonus for him!

I’m still playing The Sims 2. I’ve got my Legacy family to generation 3 now. My first generation are both elders. My 2nd generation has an adult male, his wife, a daughter that’s at college and another daughter that is still a child. My third generation has a daughter that’s a child and another on the way. The 2nd generation’s Sims’ lifetime goals are to have three children go off to college, so I need to have three children from them in order to do that!

I just finished watching Bewitched and was happy to hear the song in the closing credits: Every Little Thing She Does is Magic. It’s a fun song. Remember when Chris Sligh sang it on AI? I think that was the night before he got voted off. Hm. Nobody got voted off tonight, which wasn’t as “shocking” as Ryan kept saying it would be. Probably because he kept going on about how “shocking” the results would be. This means there will be two people voted off next week. To be honest, I’m kinda hoping it will be LaKisha and Chris Richardson. Though he did well this week. Until he stood up, anyway. That boy can not stand and sing at the same time.

The bigger deal of tonight’s show was the focus on the little kids and their families. My heart went out to every single one of them. It wasn’t even something that I could cry about - I was just in shock. It’s very sad that the world has come to millionaires and billionaires in one part of the world, and parentless, HIV-positive children in another part. It’s unnecessary and depressing.
