Retro Raid Night!
Posted on November 24th, 2007 @ 1:53 am

My guild decided to run a retro raid night and head into AQ40 to finally see C’Thun die. We never did get to kill him pre-BC, so we were all super happy to see him get one-shotted tonight! Revenge, I tell you.

I got Fetish of the Sand Reaver! Funny, since I say that my spells should all be renamed “aggro” instead of their real names!

PS: Check out the super nifty links! Seriously, check it out. Hover over Fetish of the Sand Reaver up there!

I am FANTASTIC at rambling on!
Posted on November 7th, 2007 @ 12:39 pm

I really wanted to be lazy today and just stay home and play games. I really did. But instead, I’m going to the gym around 4:30 for a Newbody class. It sounds like a good class for me:

Newbody is an exclusive GoodLife Group EXercise program created by our very own Mo Hagan, 2006 IDEA Fitness Instructor of the Year. Newbody is a multi-level class that improves your energy, strength and endurance, making your day-to-day activities easier. Burn calories in this fun, low-impact and easy-to-follow class by combining cardio conditioning with optional hand weights. Learn how to properly use your abs and back muscles to improve your posture and reduce back pain.

Tonight, I have a raid at 9:00 my time. It was supposed to be Gruul and Magtheridon but we seem to be short on warlocks, so I think we’ll be doing Lurker instead. I think I forgot to post when we killed him last week, whoops! But we did. And I got a nice new shiny Cord of Screaming Terrors, which I love, love love. I was afraid that spending DKP on that would put me out of the running for the Eye of Magtheridon, but I’m still highest caster DPS, so I have to just make sure to keep raiding the 25-man raids until the next time we take him down!

In other World of Warcraft news, the highly anticipated 2.3 patch seems to be coming for us next Tuesday, which is great! I can finally start leveling Thae again, and maybe I won’t feel so burnt out with the addition of new daily quests (yay!), a new dungeon (double yay!) and heroic badges dropped in Karazhan (even more yay!).

In response to my being burnt out lately, I’ve been playing Everquest 2 a lot again. I can’t pull myself away from the computer most of the time, but at least now there’s some variety. I don’t think I’ll continue playing it forever, but I’ll enjoy it while I have it!

Anyway, I’m off to shower before the gym. I did a load of laundry last night, despite feeling icky, so I have some clean clothes to go work out in. I think I need even more pants and some new tank tops, though. We’ll see! :)

Also… I want to say a huge congratulations to my good friend (and soul mate!) Leesha, who has recently discovered that she’s pregnant after a long time of trying. I won’t say I’m not jealous, because I totally am, but she knows that there’s nobody that I think deserves such happiness more than she does. ♥

OH! As if this post wasn’t long enough already, I have a request. Please post your healthiest recipes and ideas for me - I’m seeming to fall out of the habit of eating healthy and it’s coming around to bite me, despite all the exercise I’m doing! So any help would be so much appreciated! :)

A new month already?
Posted on October 1st, 2007 @ 1:23 pm

Time is just flying by this year. Seriously. I want to freeze frame a week and hold on to it for about a month. I’m really dreading winter this year. I love autumn, but winter makes me sad and anxious and it’s already setting in! Not to mention with winter comes Christmas, and with Christmas comes all of my family members coming BACK out of the woodwork and asking me when I’m coming back, when I’m visiting, if I’m moving back… and telling me that I should be with family for the holidays, blah blah blah.

Anyway, enough thinking about that. I have two months! Right now, I need a pumpkin spice candle and an apple candle. Favourite smells, ever. They’re fantastic and comforting and warm… sigh. I miss Target. I wish they’d make one here. I could get the candles from there - they were the best!

So, with a new month, as usual, I’ve put up a new theme. This crosses yet another thing off of my 101 things list. Third customized Wordpress theme, yay! Eventually I’ll clean up my themes and put in a theme switcher. The only problem with that is that I need to figure out how to make the example bullets on my 101 things page change with the theme. Any ideas?

I need to make a small announcement: I hit my goal weight for the month! This means I get a haircut, eventually, when I feel like going out. I can’t seem to find a picture of what I want, but I want bangs like I have now, but I want them to actually go where they’re supposed to go! And I think I want some long layers to make my hair look healthier. Right now it’s just kinda blah, and I throw it up in a ponytail because I get bored. I need new shampoo, too. None of the stuff I have is working right anymore. My hair does that - it becomes “immune” (for lack of a better word) to a certain kind of shampoo and doesn’t get as clean anymore. It’s frustrating! Same with deodorant, but that’s even more annoying. So, if anyone can find a hairstyle like what I mentioned, send me a picture of it!

Today I get to redo my World of Warcraft interface and then do some farming. I didn’t sign up for tonight’s raid, because I’m feeling a bit burnt out. Sad, but true. Some of the things I’ve been doing are fun, and some just plain drive me bonkers. I can’t help it! I think it’s a bunch of new people we keep pulling into our raids - we’re learning to work together again and figure things out, all the while we’re doing stuff that we had on farm status, but now we’re struggling because the same cooperation isn’t there. It’s a delicate balance, really. Anyway, about my interface. I installed something before my raid last night, and boy did that fail. Miserably. It was awful. I couldn’t move my buttons around, I had to reload my UI any time I had to put a new spell on my bars, and I had targeting problems. Not the easiest way to raid! However, some good news about my raid last night (Karazhan) is that I finally got my bracers from the Maiden - Bands of Nefarious Deeds. There is just a few things I’m sticking it out for in there still:

- Tirisfal Wand of Ascendancy from Shade (Though I may end up just getting the Arena Wand before I ever see the Shade wand.)
- Helm of the Fallen Defender for my Soul-Collar of the Incarnate off of the Prince. I hate this fight. More than you’d believe. But I need a new head piece. Who knows, maybe I’ll get the next Cowl of the Grand Engineer off of Void Reaver!
- Gloves of the Fallen Defender off of Curator for my Gloves of the Incarnate. Not so much because it’s an upgrade, but because I want to finish the set!
- Trial-Fire Trousers from the Opera Event.
- Ring of Recurrence from the Chess Event.

I definitely wouldn’t mind getting the enchanting formulas, either: Mongoose, Soulfrost, Sunfire,

I’m not procrastinating, honest!

My internet is going terribly slow, which is annoying. I’ll probably restart my router soon. I have to clean, but my leg is still hurting me pretty bad, so I need to take it easy. I got a few things done on my list from yesterday though.

- Plug printer in, and plug in to router.
- Stack boxes in storage room (so that they don’t fall over this time) and move some small boxes from the closet in.
- Clean up shelf with alarm clock.
- Do rest of dishes; put away.
- Wash floors in kitchen and bathroom.
- Wash down counters (again).
- Do laundry.
- Organize some kitchen cabinets.
- Clean under desk.
- Vacuum living room.
- Vacuum hallway and bedroom.
- Dust.
- Wash glass: mirrors, windows.
- Organize fridge. Maybe. It’s not too bad.

Tonight’s going to be a fun night. Since we took down Void Reaver so easily last week, we’ll be trying Al’ar tonight!

Loot I want:
Band of Al’ar (To replace Ryngo’s Band of Ingenuity)

We went to Karazhan last night and finished the upper half of it. Sadly, I didn’t get my wand yet again. I am in desperate need of an upgrade! I’m using a level 65 green with oodles of +shadow damage, but no real stats! Come on already! I guess I’ll just keep going and hope it drops. What’s funny is that I haven’t gotten a single thing off of my list. However, I did get Staff of Infinite Mysteries last night off of the Curator. This means, from there, I still need…

- Spectral Band of Innervation off of Attumen.
- Bands of Nefarious Deeds off of the Maiden.
- Tirisfal Wand of Ascendancy off of Shade.
- Uni-Mind Headdress off of Netherspite.
- Trial-Fire Trousers off of Opera. (It’s on the shared loot table between all three events.)

What a rush!
Posted on September 13th, 2007 @ 12:14 am

I’m recovering from a super adrenaline rush right now. We’ve downed Void Reaver for the first time.

For you World of Warcraft addicts out there, here’s the loot!
Pauldrons of the Vanquished Champion (Druid, Paladin, Shaman)
Pauldrons of the Vanquished Champion (Druid, Paladin, Shaman)
Cowl of the Grand Engineer

I was very close to winning the Cowl, but not close enough. Oh, well! Maybe next time! That fight is insanely fun. Seriously. Between dodging the orbs and watching threat and running around like a headless chicken, it’s fun! For those who know nothing about it, here’s a video of Nihilum killing him.

I think Matt and I are going to see The Simpsons Movie tomorrow. I’ve heard both good things and bad things about it. I think the biggest reason we decided to see it before it comes out on DVD is purely for the Spider Pig scene. Seriously. We’re also going to go grocery shopping, which is good because we can buy more than if I walk there (now that I know how close it is, I don’t want to drive there! It takes longer that way!) and we can both get foods that work with our diet, or lack thereof. It’s a compromise!

Anyway, I’m getting tired again, so it’s off to bed for me!
