Yay birthday!
Posted on May 3rd, 2007 @ 10:07 pm

Technically I’ll be 22 in about… 48 minutes. 10:22 PM EST. So 11:22 PM here. There’s your useless fact for the day, guard it well.

Dinner was fabulous. Matt and I went to Mexicali Rosa’s. I had a beef burrito and a tamale with a Sangria (yum!) and Matt had a chicken enchilada and a beef burrito. It was amazingly good. It’s the best Mexican food I’ve found here yet, which isn’t saying too much, since other than a very low-quality taco bell, it’s the only Mexican food, but hey, you take what you can get, right?

Matt got me some awesome gifts, too. He got me the World of Warcraft time card that I wanted, since I’ve been missing the game a bit lately. He also got me Guild Wars. I’ve been wanting to try this game for ages, so we’ll see how it is! I’m definitely curious.

All in all, it was a wonderful birthday. I’m glad I have such fantastic friends and such an amazing husband to spend it with.

Saturday will be fun, too. Amy and I are going to go downtown and to cross off some items on my 101 things list. I’m definitely looking forward to it!

Nothing interesting to see here.
Posted on May 2nd, 2007 @ 12:48 am

I slept most of the day again. I can’t seem to get enough sleep, so I’m listening to my body and sleeping when it feels tired. No harm in spoiling my immune system a bit while I’m recovering, right?

I’ve been playing Evil Genius today. I think I’m doing pretty well. It’s an interesting game, that’s for sure.

I’m kinda wanting to play World of Warcraft but I’m not going to justify spending the money on a game card just yet. I’m hoping maybe someone sends me money for my birthday (Tomorrow! You know, since today is technically Wednesday now…) and that way I can justify it.

Anyway, I think I’ll get back to my game. My typing is probably keeping poor Matt awake!

Matt’s mom went to the grocery store today and asked if I wanted anything. I said that if she didn’t mind, I could use a little bit of fruit. And by fruit, I really meant a couple apples or something, no big deal, I wasn’t going to be greedy or picky. She says it’s no problem and goes off to the store. About a half hour later, she calls down the stairs and says that there’s a treat for me at the top of the stairs. I go up there, and what do I find?

Vacuuming is fun now!
Posted on April 8th, 2007 @ 1:55 pm

Matt’s mom gave us a new vacuum for Easter. Really, it was a gift for Matt’s niece Janelle for her apartment, but she had one, so Matt’s mom gave it to us instead. We could use it anyway. All four (yes, four) of the vacuums that she has suck. Unfortunately, not in the way that a vacuum should suck. Most just don’t pick anything up and one actually lets off very scary fumes. Not good to vacuum with, in my opinion.

So, without further ado, say hello to our new vacuum!

To be honest, it’s a bit loud, but it definitely gets the job done. And it’s very light, which is a plus for lazy people like me. And the best part, of course, is that it’s orange!
