You probably didn’t notice, but…

I’ve upgraded Wordpress finally! I was putting off doing it because I was afraid that I’d screw up my entire site and lose the past three years of work, but it’s here and working and doing awesome, all thanks to Matt!

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy lately. I still have so much cleaning to do in the bedroom that it’s ridiculous. Maybe I’ll do that after this post. Who knows!

My brain is a bit all over the place, so this entry will be, too! Maybe if I do it in a list format it’ll be easier. Let’s see…

  • My birthday is coming up! Believe it or not, I totally forgot how old I was turning the other day. I was like “Oh, look, I’ll be 24 in X days… wait… that doesn’t sound right…” I had to add up the years to figure it out. Is dementia setting in already? I sure hope not. 23 isn’t nearly old enough to lose my memory!
  • I’ve dug my iPAQ out of hiding for the first time in about a year. I’ve been using it a lot, but am disappointed in it for two reasons.
    • Nobody seems to make software (free software, that is) for this old version of Windows Mobile, so there’s not a lot I can put on it. I forget where I used to find all of the old software that I had on it, so I can’t go back and find it!
    • My high-capacity SD card isn’t recognized by it, and my regular SD card is only 128mb, so I can’t put videos on it like I’d hoped and watch them while I’m at the gym (or in the tub!). Boo!
  • I burned 1300 calories today with my workout. No joke. I walked to the gym (about a mile), then did weights (about half my usual circuit) then biked a mile on the stationery bike. Then I took two classes: Body Flow (the tai chi/yoga/pilates class) and Body Attack, which is a very fast-paced high impact cardio class. After that, as much as I dreaded it at this point, I made the long (a mile, remember?) trek home, where I promptly sat in my chair and wanted to sleep! It was worth it though. More days like these and I’ll look better than ever before long!
  • I updated a TON of pictures to my Flickr yesterday from a trip we took ten days ago (whoops!) to Bridgewater. It was a gorgeous drive there and back, and I’m glad I took the camera (and extra batteries!).
  • I’ve suggested to Jane that we do what I mentioned in the blog entry before this, for the Sex and the City movie. I don’t want to just make it “just another trip to the movies” - I’ve been waiting a few years for the movie and the characters, as stupid as this sounds, are like close friends! To quote Miranda, “It is a big fucking deal!” So hopefully we can make a bigger deal out of it than any other movie I’ve went to see.
  • Speaking of Jane, we’re going to get together sometime this week and go downtown and have a lunch and walk around taking photos and stuff. I’m looking so forward to it! The weather is just starting to get nice and people are out and about. It should be fun!

So there’s my life lately in a nutshell. A whirlwind of events, but I love it!

Those of you who know me at all know that I’ve been looking forward to/hoping for a Sex and the City movie since before it was announced. In a time where I don’t have a lot of close, personal friends, I’ve counted on the episodes of the show over and over again to keep me entertained, and in a way, “keep me company” when I’m feeling down. So it’s only natural that I’m dying to see the movie when it comes out next month!

Now, for all of you who are going to see it and are as excited as I am, a question! What are your plans? Are you just going to the theater and watching it, or are you making it into a big ordeal?

If I had anyone close by to do this with, I’d totally go all out for it. I’d get stuff to make Cosmopolitans and have some girls over for the day to drink Cosmos and watch episodes from the shows. I have all of them, so it’d be easy to do! Then we’d get all dolled up and go see the movie, and maybe even a girlie sleepover afterward.

It does seem a bit sad to me that I’ll be more than likely enjoying something so clearly about friendship by myself, but what can you do? I figure I’ll enjoy the movie anyway, no matter what!

Lots of random things to post about, and nothing in particular. So this entry might seem very disjointed and random, but that’s okay!

Mew Mew’s discovered catnip for the first time. We don’t give it to her often, but it’s fun every once in a while and she enjoys it! She also got to play with bubbles for the first time today. I got some pictures that I’ll probably be uploading later tonight or tomorrow!

I’ve been cleaning the bedroom like crazy the past two days. Tomorrow I have to finish it. Left to do is:

  • Clean off Matt’s desk.
  • Reorganize my desk. No more clutter!
  • Clean the small pile of miscellaneous stuff at the end of the bed.
  • Febreze!
  • Dust. Living in this apartment with these computers makes EVERYTHING dusty.
  • Vacuum.

I went to the gym today. I’m still not seeing the results I want to see but I am feeling stronger lately. Plus, I’ve been able to walk to/from the gym a few times and up/down the stairs in my apartment, so that counts for something, right? Right.

World of Warcraft is going well lately, too. I got my mage (my third character) to 31 today. I have an awesome druid friend that’s been running me through instances. Thae’s getting geared up in Kara and Kim is progressing but not seeing any upgrades. I’m having trouble with itemization for shadow priests in SSC/TK/Hyjal lately. Mostly just because I have bad luck! Nothing seems to want to drop for me. But that’s okay!

Matt’s watching Clerks 2 and it’s making me feel reminiscent for the summer. Spring will be here soon. I’m looking forward to this summer, though. Going to seize it this time and have fun!

Matt and I are watching The Shining right now. I’ve been incredibly brave, considering how much I hate scary movies. The phone rings in the movie… and then it rings here. At the same time. Gah!

New theme!

I’m not positive that it’s 100% done, but I like it so far! What do you think?

Also, if you’re viewing it while Flickr is still “having a massage,” make sure to come back when Flickr’s back up - I have random pictures in my header!

I’m not really sure what else I want to do with the theme. I do like that it’ll be easily recolourable, because that makes my job easy when I get bored!

I do have a favour to ask of everyone that reads this - recommend a movie or two! I’m dying to watch new movies (or new to me, anyway) but can’t really think of anything to watch!
