Day 28.Posted on April 28th, 2007 @ 11:44 pm
It’s done. Matt’s home. I’m in Heaven.
I picked him up from the airport and I had flutterbies. I didn’t think I would, I mean, he’s my husband! I’ve been living with him for a year now, we saw each other every day until he left… But they were still there. Seeing him made me so happy that I thought I was going to cry, but somehow I didn’t, so it worked out.
We stopped at the grocery store to pick up the rest of dinner, checked out the comforter I like at Linens ‘n Things, and then came home. We made a taco salad, came downstairs and laid in bed to watch the race. I fell asleep before it was over, and when I woke up, Matt was upstairs and he had almost finished cooking Dorito chicken. What an awesome surprise! He really is a great husband. I’m so glad to have him here with me again. It’s like when we first met, but a million times better.
What do you think of the theme? I have to work some more on the last one, since I got some awesome suggestions from Kendra on how to make it better. I’m determined to learn more as I go and get better at this. I’m so out of practice!
Anyway, my Sims family is calling me. Off to put the 3rd generation heiress into college!
PS: Somehow I’m still sick. How is this even possible?

Day 27.Posted on April 27th, 2007 @ 10:52 pm
Ho hum. I need to go to bed very soon so that I’m sure to be up in time to get Matt tomorrow.
TOMORROW!
Woo!
I’m so happy right now.
:):):):):):):):)
I took some cues from some other sites and made myself a new 101 things page. Hopefully this time I’ll stick with it. It took ages to figure out how to make that nifty little progress bar, but it worked and I got to learn more in the process. I’m so rusty on CSS and HTML that it’s kinda sad. So, the more I make my new themes and try new ideas, the more I re-learn. I’d like to thank Joyce for inspiring me to figure out the progress bar. Go check out her site, she’s fabulous. Seriously.
Speaking of seriously, I do believe it’s time to go watch Grey’s Anatomy and sleep so I can get up and go to the airport tomorrow.
YAY!

Day 26.Posted on April 26th, 2007 @ 10:43 pm
Just a day and a half left. I can not wait.
Today was a bit rough. I realized that I’m basically alone, other than Matt, and it hit me kinda hard. But, at the same time, I took it better than I usually take these things. Instead of freaking out, I cried a little bit, and then I moved on. I’m trying to control my emotions more, and so far, it seems to be working.
I don’t even know what to post. Today was fairly uneventful - I slept all day! I did go out at 2:30 in the morning, which was fun. I got a tiny bit of groceries and some gas in the car. That wasn’t nearly as frightening as I thought it might be, haha.
Grey’s Anatomy tonight was also fabulous. I love that show.

Day 25.Posted on April 25th, 2007 @ 11:58 pm
I’m getting very excited to see Matt again. I thought about going out to the grocery store tonight, and I might still, but I don’t think I will. Maybe tomorrow. It means getting gas, like I said, so that’s fairly unappealing to me. But I’ll have to do it anyway, so… I don’t know.
I’m trying a new diet. Mainly it’s just eating healthier foods and doing more exercise, but I’m using SparkPeople to keep track of everything. I’m also going to try following their meal plans. Matt has said that he’ll try to follow it with me, so that I have some support. It also means he gets three “real” meals a day, so that’s a big bonus for him!
I’m still playing The Sims 2. I’ve got my Legacy family to generation 3 now. My first generation are both elders. My 2nd generation has an adult male, his wife, a daughter that’s at college and another daughter that is still a child. My third generation has a daughter that’s a child and another on the way. The 2nd generation’s Sims’ lifetime goals are to have three children go off to college, so I need to have three children from them in order to do that!
I just finished watching Bewitched and was happy to hear the song in the closing credits: Every Little Thing She Does is Magic. It’s a fun song. Remember when Chris Sligh sang it on AI? I think that was the night before he got voted off. Hm. Nobody got voted off tonight, which wasn’t as “shocking” as Ryan kept saying it would be. Probably because he kept going on about how “shocking” the results would be. This means there will be two people voted off next week. To be honest, I’m kinda hoping it will be LaKisha and Chris Richardson. Though he did well this week. Until he stood up, anyway. That boy can not stand and sing at the same time.
The bigger deal of tonight’s show was the focus on the little kids and their families. My heart went out to every single one of them. It wasn’t even something that I could cry about - I was just in shock. It’s very sad that the world has come to millionaires and billionaires in one part of the world, and parentless, HIV-positive children in another part. It’s unnecessary and depressing.

Day 24.Posted on April 25th, 2007 @ 12:30 am
THREE MORE DAYS!
Seriously, that’s all I can keep thinking.
I’ve decided that I’m going to the grocery store after I pick Matt up and getting stuff to make his (OUR!) favourite dinner - Dorito Chicken and taco salad. I strongly suggest that everyone goes and tries it, immediately. Let me know if you want the recipe!
Other than the ingredients for that dinner, I’ll need to get more St. John’s Wort. I don’t feel like getting gas any time before then and it’s just about empty. Yay for being lazy!
Anyway, I’m back to my Legacy family. I keep playing them. I’m getting ready to start the third generation. Yay, me!
PS: As of today, Matt and I have been married for exactly 8 months. It feels like just yesterday. Marriage is fabulous.
