Happy New Year!
:party Just wanted to say a quick happy New Year to everyone who reads this!
More later, don’t feel like typing much at the moment. Plus, I haven’t made any resolutions!
I'm a 23-year-old married woman who followed her heart (and her husband!) to Nova Scotia, where I'm currently a housewife, planning my future. I'm a huge computer nerd, especially when it comes to video games. I'm a fan of lists and spend a lot of time making them, even if they have no purpose at all. Want to know more?

Just thought this was interesting.
Tongue Piercings:
Dentists who treat teenagers are becoming accustomed to seeing more patients with jewelry inside and around the mouth, the article notes. Most mouth jewelry takes the form of removable studs, hoops or barbell-shaped devices that are purchased commercially. Dentists are often the first to note any harmful effects resulting from the piercing process or the jewelry itself, such as fractures or cracks in the tooth structures caused by a metallic barbell stud. Additional negative effects include:
* pain
* post-placement swelling
* prolonged bleeding
* gum injury
* permanent numbness
* loss of taste
* oral hygiene problemsIn addition, piercing has been identified by the National Institutes of Health as a possible vehicle for transmission of hepatitis B, C, D and G, and HIV.
Body piercers are not members of the medical profession
In one case, a teen with a heart defect did not take any preventive antibiotics before the piercing and was unaware of the possible complications of the procedure and its association with the heart defect. The article points out that the needle inserted through the tongue during piercing may have allowed bacteria to enter the bloodstream, resulting in an infection in the heart.

I know I’ve been neglecting writing in here lately. I don’t have that much to say.
Life is good and bad all at the same time.
I have to figure out how I’ll get back to Michigan by the 15th of the month.
I miss Matt already, and I haven’t even left yet.
There is so much to do and I don’t know where to start.
On the bright side, I get to marry the man I love, no matter how small the wedding will be. We’ll probably have a nice reception/vow renewal ceremony once we have the money. For now, we just want to be together, and the wedding and fancy party don’t mean as much to us as not being apart.
To get off that topic, check out my Trading Post. I’ve gotten back into playing TCGs, and it keeps me busy and social (something that’s lacking in my outside-the-internet life).
Matt and I have been playing Eve Online a lot lately. I like it quite a bit, it’s very interesting! More to come later, I’m gathering screenshots to post in a huge post sometime.
For now, goodbye! ![]()
