I’m a bit sore already from today’s workout. I did my first day on the weight machines, and holy goodness is that ever a workout! The trainer said I should see results in just a couple weeks. She said that after a month, I’ll feel like a new woman. Things like that are what’s keeping me going!
Just as a bit of a record, partly for me, partly for… no reason at all, here’s what I did today
- Warmup: 4 minutes on the stationary bike
- Lower back: 12 reps, 55 lbs.
- Leg extensions: 12 reps, 30 lbs.
- Leg curls: 12 reps, 35 lbs.
- Seated row: 12 reps, 35 lbs.
- Chest presses: 12 reps, 10 lbs.
- Shoulder lateral raises: 12 reps, 15 lbs.
- Biceps: 12 reps, 15 lbs.
- Triceps: 12 reps, 15 lbs.
- Ball passes (abs): 6 reps.
As you can see, I have absolutely no upper-body strength. Hopefully the more I go, the more it’ll build up, though. It’s nice to feel completely dedicated. Knowing that I pay for the gym means that I have to go to get my money’s worth. That’s not even mentioning the fact that going to the gym means getting out of my apartment for a few hours every day or every other day, and gives me something rewarding to do!
After my workout I bought stuff for dinner (Dorito Chicken, yum!) and decided to get myself a jug of apple cider. One of the best things about fall, hands down!
Anyway, I should be off to World of Warcraft land. Today is an adventure into Serpentshrine Cavern. This should be exciting!
