I’m sore again!Posted on January 22nd, 2008 @ 7:33 pm
That’s good, right? Right. As usual, here’s my workout from yesterday:
- 1 hour of sweaty cardio - Body Jam.
- Lower Back - 8 reps, 85 lbs.
- Leg Extension - 10 reps, 45 lbs.
- Leg Curl - 8 reps, 55 lbs.
- Leg Press/Squat - 9 reps, 60 lbs.
- Seated Row - 5 reps, 45 lbs.
- Chest Press - 10 reps, 25 lbs.
- Shoulder Lateral Raise - 12 reps, 15 lbs.
- Bicep - 9 reps, 25 lbs.
- Tricep - 10 reps, 25 lbs.
Pretty good workout, in my opinion. I’m a bit sore today but it’s getting better. I wanted to do some cleaning and some laundry but I felt a bit too lazy so I haven’t. I will probably do some tomorrow. I have a raid tomorrow night and I have to go to the gym, though, so I might do it all on Thursday. We’ll see.

Awesome faucet!Posted on January 21st, 2008 @ 9:48 pm
This probably looks like a PPP post, but it’s not. As most of you know, I use Stumbleupon when I’m bored and like to post some of my nifty findings here.
Today, it’s the coolest faucet I think I’ve ever seen. I want one!
From here.

Remove the top of a spigot, create a small-scale canyon, add backlighting and you’ve got ambient water fittings. That’s what Germany’s Hansa is doing with Hansacanyon, by adding LEDs that change color as a function of water temperature so you can see when it’s hot or cold. Also included; precise temperature control, for sinks, baths and showers.

Wow!
I can’t sleep.Posted on January 21st, 2008 @ 6:57 am
It’s 7 am, and I can’t sleep. I’m stressed. I’m exhausted. I’m grieving. I’m sick. So many thoughts in my head and none of them really make a lot of sense. I really wish I could get some sleep, because I am supposed to go to the gym in 3-1/2 hours. Even if I don’t sleep, I’ll probably be going. If not, I’ll go to the evening class tonight.
A lot of people I know got hit hard with some very unexpected and very depressing news tonight, and my heart goes out to them. A tragedy like this affects everyone that knew the person, and it doesn’t matter how we knew her, or how well. She was a part of all of our lives in one way or another. I hope her family is doing well, and I hope her daughter is growing wonderfully. If she’s half as fantastic as her mother was, she’s in good shape.
It’s weird when things like these happen. It makes you look at everything so much differently. Just don’t take anyone for granted, I guess. You never know when they might just disappear.

Looking at things a whole new way.Posted on January 19th, 2008 @ 11:49 am
Is it just me, or do you start to look at everything differently once you start taking more pictures? Like, I was walking around yesterday and saw random things that I just thought “Wow, that’s really cool, I need to get a picture of that!”
Also, on the photography thing, I’m curious. How do you go about taking pictures of random people or pets? Like… I never do it because I’m afraid to, but what do you do if you see someone walking a cute dog, or if you see someone with, say, an interesting hat? Would you ask them to take their picture? Is that rude? Insulting? Flattering?
