I'm Ang.

I'm a 23-year-old married woman who followed her heart (and her husband!) to Nova Scotia, where I'm currently a housewife, planning my future. I'm a huge computer nerd, especially when it comes to video games. I'm a fan of lists and spend a lot of time making them, even if they have no purpose at all. Want to know more?

Wow!

I know this might be a silly thing to be proud of, but I’m genuinely happy to see that one of my photos has been used (and credited, of course) in an article online. I’ve never seen anyone use one of my photos for anything before, so this makes me incredibly proud!

Now to get a postcard made from my Peggy’s Cove photo

I think I’m going to print them, though, and frame them. It shows that I’ve made a great deal of improvement in the past few years, I think!

Mini road trip!

Matt and I went out to see his sister’s new house today, since it was a nice day and Matt hadn’t seen it yet. We spent a couple hours out there, just talking and touring the house and eating and hanging out. After we left there we got to the end of the driveway and decided not to go home yet, but instead to go out to Peggy’s Cove since we were already about halfway there. We hadn’t went in two or three years, and I wanted to go, so we did!

I can honestly say that I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more picturesque place. Last time we went, it was rainy and gloomy (and my camera sucked), as you can see here:

Today, it was a bit chilly, but altogether gorgeous! More pictures can be found in my Flickr photoset for Peggy’s Cove.

Sex and the City!

SATC tickets!

Matt and I went and saw the Sex and the City movie last night. I won’t put any spoilers up because, well, it’s too soon for that and that’d be unfair. But I will say this:

When the show ended, every story line was tied up with a little bow in a perfect little package. A lot of people were worried that a movie about it would tear apart that little package and leave a lot of things messed up again. They were right, that it took apart the little bow and opened up a lot of new plotlines, but they tied it right back up in the end.

I laughed, I cried, I loved it. Really. I’d suggest anyone who was a fan of the show go see it as soon as you can!

Any good blogs out there?

Sadly, I’ve become very annoyed with 90% of the blogs I come across. Poorly written, run-on sentences, lolcat-speak everywhere… Then there’s the worst offender of all: people who sneak in paid links in every one of their blogs, regardless of what the subject is or whether it relates. It’s like a game, where they have to post about one random thing that details their life, and sneak in a link to something that doesn’t have any effect on them whatsoever but might put a buck or two in their bank account.

I understand that people need money. I do. But it feels like exploitation when it happens to the degree that it is on most of the blogs I see. I lose interest in the people who write them, and I stop caring about their problems. The way I see it, if blogging about some horrible problem in your life is so trivial to you that you can’t dedicate an entire entry to it and not sneak in some advertising link that nobody will click on anyway, then why should I worry about that problem or feel sympathy?

That said, I really am looking for good, witty, well-written blogs. I want some entertainment, and to read about other people’s days, lives, problems, exciting news… Anything that isn’t spam-linked and/or doesn’t look like it was written by a five-year-old is good for me!

New books!

On a whim the other day, Matt and I decided to make a trek over to Chapters and pick up some books. He got some geeky ones, I got some girly ones.

New books!

I’m in the middle of Remember Me right now and I’m loving it! It reminds me of Samantha Who? in a way. Fantastic show, by the way. I’m a fan of shows that are either narrated (like Sex and the City) or have mini-titles (like this one!). Anyway, back to the book. I’ve got all of the Shopaholic books and the Undomestic Goddess so I had to have this one when it came out. I waited a bit and got it for quite a discount! On top of that, each of the other four books (all Red Dress Ink, by the way, my favourite kind!) was $4.99 with a 10% discount! Go go bargain shopper! It made up for Matt’s fancy programming books (which I may use someday myself!) that I don’t happen to have a photo of right now.

Right now my head is killing me, but I had to blog. Why, you ask? This is why:
